Ah, spring. A time when a young artist’s fancy turns to chocolate, bunnies, flowers and…rising from the dead.

From Jesus to Night of the Living Dead, resurrections of all kinds inspire us to make good stuff.

If you’re interested in participating in this show, please send us an email (do not just comment on this post…we need an email, people!) letting us know of your plans.

Materials deadline is Friday, March 27.

for those of you in portland, we hope you’re enjoying this spring tease we’re having…its nice to be able to open our doors out onto mississippi ave. without a cold wind blowing in the door.

a reminder that we’re hanging out at the gallery every thursday from 4pm-7pm, give or take a few minutes, and saturday afternoons from noon-4pm. stop by if you’re in the neighborhood and chat us up and check out the show without the opening night throngs.

we’ve had a chance to update the website and the homepage has some teasers of robot_love, which is up for one more week if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet.

Finally, there are images of the warm fuzzies show online and we’ve added a schedule of upcoming group shows. if you’re interested in participating in an upcoming show, please please please send us an email letting us know. and if you’re making something for mouthfull, a reminder that the materials deadline is fast approaching — we need your art by friday, february 27.

whew! lots of things going on. but the sunshine calls….get outside and enjoy it!

be good.

the robot_love opening was even more fantastic than warm fuzzies, if you can believe that. look on our home page for an updated slideshow of participating artists.

we felt so good hanging the show and we were excited to show it to the world…and how amazing was it that the opening was even more exciting. (although we’re sorry to anyone who was scarred by the hump-bot…there was a slight glitch in the matrix.) thank you again for your support and attendance - more good times.

robot_love will be up and viewable in the gallery until february 28th. we’re open thursday evening 4pm-7pm and saturdays noon-4pm, but you can always call and ask to be let in for something you covet or want to visit at 503.265.8818 and we’ll call you back to make it work.

reminder for artists, if you want to be considered for the next show, MOUTHFULL, materials deadline is february 27 and we need to hear from you at info@goodpdx.com as soon as possible with images and/or an intention statement…of course we love seeing stuff early so that we can fall extra-in-love with it and if you’ve got something now or you’re super fast we are accepting work early (like…now).

we expect that this show is going to continue our trend of increased awesomeness and we’re looking forward to seeing what you’ve got and seeing you there.

hello good people,

so it’s pretty exciting this week in portland, not only are we having our first opening of the year here at the good gallery, a lot of people, many of my friends and co-workers can’t wait for “coraline ” to be released. the 3-D stop-motion movie was made here in portland over the last four or so years, i have to encourage everyone to go see it, and if you can ,it see in 3-D.

after this january’s maintenance month ,we got the back office into working condition, it’s time for “ROBOT LOVE”! we hung the show last night and it looks pretty awesome!  we have twenty three artists with over fourty pieces. the opening is tomorrow evening from seven to ten. i think the grove bomb is going to be here to extend our lobby a bit and  Patrick from the CROWBAR has generously donated some libations for the event. i hope you can make it, but if you can’t we are back to are standard hours . saturday noon to four and thursday four to seven. any questions are best sent to scott@goodpdx.com. hope to see you soon"wheelbarrow" by phebe miller
