i once saw a cartoon that distilled all art down into the idea that art used to be “look at this!” and with modern art all art became “look at me!”
there’s definitely something compelling about the self-portrait. artistic navel-gazing. a ready and willing model. the chance to cast yourself in the grand tapestry of history. and to have lots and lots of people look at you as a work of art.
to submit your ideas/work for consideration, please send a letter of intent to our inbox. Then get cracking on turning yourself into a work of art.

just a note to remind you, if you’re interested in volunteering to help out with good we’re having an interest meeting tomorrow at 3pm.
we’ve also expanded our hours for the summer. we’re open saturday from 1 to 7pm and sunday from 2 to 6pm.
look for an announcement about good & the mississippi street fair in the next couple days!
we’re holding a volunteer interest meeting this sunday at 3pm…do you want to help out with gallery hours? have web skills you’re itching to offer? have a good idea about how we can make good even gooder? come on by! we’re hoping we can get some volunteers to help staff the gallery over our new summer hours and we’d love to check in with the good community about what you think about our first 6 months.

its as if we knew how good the art would be when we named the gallery, and june’s show is no exception. lost & found promises to be one of your favorite shows at good…lots of little pieces to marvel over and get lost in on a variety of themes from losing love to getting eaten by a tiger.
come on down and celebrate our new show on friday from 7pm-10pm. and if you can’t make it then, we’ve expanded our gallery hours in honor of all this sunshine we’ve been having. we’re now open saturday from 1pm-7pm and sunday from 2pm-6pm. why not make art part of your weekend?
